The first major temporary exhibition to be held at Tate Modern, Century City explored cultural production in nine urban cultures at nine moments in time during the twentieth century. The exhibition filled the Turbine Hall and the temporary exhibition galleries of the Tate.

Caruso St John spent almost a year working with the exhibition’s nine international curators, designing specific environments for the cities located in the Turbine Hall (London and Mumbai) and coordinating all aspects of the installation and graphics for the remainder of the exhibition.
