Caruso St John Architects has won a competition for a new apartment building in central Lucerne.
A new addition to the neighbourhood between Tribschenstrasse and Geissensteinring to the south-east of Bahnhof Luzern, the 5,700m2 scheme provides 143 apartments and retail space as well as a communal roof-terrace and underground parking.
In keeping with the heterogeneity of the location, the design is not characterised by a single entrance or a primary façade. Rather, each facade is an individual gesture and reaction to different parts of the site.

Planning permission has been granted for the Riverside Project at Magdalen College in Oxford. Caruso St John's project to refurbish and reorganise Munich's Neue Pinakothek has started on site. An enormous temporary roof has been constructed above the existing building to provide protection whilst works take place, creating a cavernous new interior on top of the museum.

A façade mock-up had been constructed for two residential buildings designed for the Im Gut housing cooperative.
