Caruso St John have a drawing in this year’s Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy, curated by the artist Yinka Shonibare under the title “Reclaiming Magic”. The exhibition opens on the 22nd September. The show's architecture room has been curated by David Adjaye, with the theme of Geography and Climate.

The practice's submission is a very large etching produced by the printer Simon Lawson, showing the practice’s project to renovate the Headquarters of the Royal Geographical Society in Kensington Gore. The drawing shows the proposal for a rain forest garden within the courtyard at the centre of the listed building, as well as for planting outside the building representing the forests of different continents. The etching is a limited edition for sale in support of Yinka Shonibare’s G.A.S. Foundation in Lagos.
