Apartment Buildings, Tribschen

Lucerne, Switserland 2019–present (under construction)

Client: HRS Real Estate AG Competition, first prize

Caruso St John Architects won this competition for a new apartment building in central Lucerne.

A new addition to the neighbourhood between Tribschenstrasse and Geissensteinring to the south-east of Bahnhof Luzern, the 5,700m2 scheme provides 143 apartments and retail space as well as a communal roof-terrace and underground parking.

In keeping with the heterogeneity of the location, the design is not characterised by a single entrance or a primary façade. Rather, each facade is an individual gesture and reaction to different parts of the site.
