A ground breaking ceremony was held on 3rd March to celebrate the start of construction on the St Pancras Commercial Centre. Located in an area of North London which is undergoing substantial change, Caruso St John's 24,000 m² mixed-use scheme will accommodate a dense development of housing, workspace and retail.

Gagosian Burlington Arcade
Gagosian's London shop opens 16th May. Designed by Caruso St John, the space in Mayfair's Burlington Arcade offers Gagosian publications, rare books, limited edition prints, exhibition posters and artist-designed objects. An exhibition space on the first floor will present a rotation of small exhibitions, artist takeovers and special collaborations.

Hockney's Eye: The Art and Technology of Depiction

The Heong Gallery at Downing College opens its new exhibition, Hockney's Eye: The Art and Technology of Depiction on the 15th of March 2022. The gallery designed by Caruso St John will host the contemporary artist's pioneering experiments in bringing the hand, eye, and optical instrument together inventively.
Caruso St John's design for Laboratorium opens this week, a functional training space aimed at Calisthenics workouts using minimal equipment.
David K. Ross' Mock Up exhibition, featuring Caruso St John's Swiss Life Arena, has moved to the Yellow House in Flims. The exhibition shown previously at S AM presents his Archetypes photographic series, which examines the role of mock ups in the design process.

Sigurd Lewerentz, Architect of Death and Life

Arkdes' Sigurd Lewerentz, Architect of Death and Life opens this Friday. The comprehensive exhibition has been curated by Kieran Long, Johan Örn and Lena Landerberg, and designed by Caruso St John.
Caruso St John's St Jakob Foundation has won the Auszeichnung für gute Bauten der Stadt Zürich, 2016-2020. The prizes given every five years, look to projects which develop the city's urban heritage, offer a social contribution, carefully use resources and respect their environment.

Caruso St John have a drawing in this year’s Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy, curated by the artist Yinka Shonibare under the title “Reclaiming Magic”. The exhibition opens on the 22nd September. The show's architecture room has been curated by David Adjaye, with the theme of Geography and Climate.

Archetypes at the Schweizerisches Architkturmuseum

David K. Ross' photographic series, Archetypes will be exhibited at the Swiss Architecture Museum in Basel from the 28th August to the 31st October. Façade mock-ups for Caruso St John's Swiss Life Arena feature as part of exhibition.
This annotated bibliography of writing by women about architecture was created collaboratively through conversations, invitations and spontaneous suggestions as a resource for gathering lists of texts, for encouragement, and for finding new writers. The project's editorial board is led by long-term collaborator Helen Thomas, and former Caruso St John staff members Emilie Appercé and Barbara Thüler. The project was developed with support from the Department of Architecture, ETH Zurich and the Chair of Adam Caruso.

Hosted by BALTS Projects, Caruso St John's Tibor Bielicky will be in conversation with Ross about the project, on Wednesday 23rd June 2021, 18:30 (MSEZ).
Caruso St John is among the six shortlisted teams for the National Gallery NG200 competition. The project will be part of the gallery's Bicentenary, working on its historic structure and visitor experience.

Museum Leuven's curator Valerie Verhack in conversation with Adam Caruso and Freek Persyn of 51n4e architects, part of a series of events around the museum's retrospective of the work of Thomas Demand.
To celebrate its anniversary, the Heong Gallery has created a video looking back at the five years since its transformation from an Edwardian stable block into a public gallery showing modern and contemporary art.
Adam Caruso participated in the 2020 Bauwelt Kongress, with a lecture entitled 'What is it Worth?', on reading the city and speculating about what its future might hold. The lecture will be followed by a conversation with Kaye Geipel and Lina Ghotmeh.
Adam Caruso contributes an article to the October Issue of Domus, outlining how on the failure of architecture to address the imbalances of contemporary life has motivated him to look again, in practice and with students at the ETH, at the ideological and programmatic promises of modernism.
